2016 Spring Business Mtg Agenda

Overview of the day:

8:00 – 9:00 Breakfast and Registration; CIRs and Deans Meeting

9:00 – 3:30 The Spring Business Meeting includes elections for MACTE President-elect and MEC representation, legislative updates, news from the Board of Teaching and the MN Department of Education, and a presentation/discussion with Nadene Davidson, University of Northern Iowa, Chair of the AACTE Advisory Committee of State Representatives.

Reclaiming the Profession Spring 2016 Collaboration

Overview of the day:

8:00- 9:00 Breakfast and Registration

9:00 – 3:30 The Spring Collaboration starts with a keynote address by Daniel Bittman, MN Superintendent of the Year and Superintendent of the Rice-Sauk Rapids Schools.

The thematic threads for the day are Diversity, Assessment, and Technology. The sessions start with invited presentation and discussion opportunities for each of the themes. In the afternoon we will have research  and practice presentations.

In addition to the research presentations we are hosting a campus Certifying Officer Training session delivered by MN Department of Education staff.
