Teacher License Renewal

Greetings, fellow MACTE Colleagues!

Southwest Minnesota State University is pleased to serve MACTE as the continuing education committee for education licensure renewal. Our Education Leadership Team, comprised of individuals, evaluate teacher re-licensure applications triannually.

We are required to follow the most current Minnesota Statutes Chapter 122A. Teachers and Other Educators related to licensure. Please reference the Office of the Revisor of Statutes and PELSB  for the most current information.

Teacher Licensure Renewal Application:

• Teacher Licensure Renewal – Cover Sheet *Include the completed cover sheet(s) at each renewal submission
• Clock Hour Approval Application Form *Required for each continuing education clock hour event being requested with supporting evidence
  
  

Submission dates each year are: October 1, February 1, and May 1.

When you are ready to submit your completed Teacher Licensure Renewal application, please send an email to Sonya Vierstraete at [email protected] and include all documents electronically in one communication; please use “MACTE – Educator Licensure Renewal” in the subject line. Your application will then be considered by the licensure team. If you have any questions while compiling your application, you may also forward these to me/Dr. Sonya Vierstraete at [email protected].
